A delegation from the Emilia Romagna Fernando Saints went in recent days in the Step Colla Val di Taro in the Municipality of Bedonia ( Parma) to mark the 41st anniversary of the death of Fernando Santi to lay a bouquet of flowers at the memorial that remembers the unforgettable figure of the politician with socialist Giuseppe Di Vittorio directed the CGIL in years of great transformation in the country.

The delegation was composed of the President Nando Odescalchi, Giorgio Boccolari curator of the Saints and the Institute for the History of the Socialist Workers Movement (ISMOS) and teachers of Italian language courses for foreigners in Reggio Emilia.

Odescalchi noted the continued commitment of saints for the unity of the trade union movement and political action aimed at implementing deep structural reforms to be pursued with the necessary gradualism and with the consent of workers.

Odescalchi concluded his brief speech expressing the hope that "the next Secretary General of the CGIL Camusso Susanna, who recently told the press he wanted to consider an integral part of his identity as the values \u200b\u200bof F. Saints with his whole life has been a consistent example, we may reinstate the collective memory of the CGIL trade union movement and the figure of Saint Fernando whose thinking is still deeply relevant today ".

Chile, like other countries of South America, celebrating the bicentenary of independence from Spain in a regional framework in recent years has seen many countries consolidation in democracy and in the awareness of identity whose deepest roots are removed in the history that preceded the centuries of oppression and exploitation of the English domination.


The native of Chile, the Mapuche, from the beginning of the coup of 11 September 1973 were victims of repression.
